It was the NHS breastfeeding helpline that told me that , you think they wouldnt say it if there was a chance. I am not 100 % myself as I know some did get preg in here. So I still release an egg even though I have no period? Did hevs have periods and breastfeeding?

The NHS told you it was 100% effective!?

There is only one contraceptive that is 100% effective and that is NO PLAYING HIDE THE SAUSAGE.

I went to my GP with something totally unrelated and he asked could I be pregnant - I said 'Definitely not I'm BFing and using condoms' to which he replied 'take a test - it's still not 100% that you're not'.

Yep the NHS support line told me. I didnt know till they told me either. So am I more fertile now while breastfeeding? I have tests here anyway for them moments I have doubt. I will try it to clear my mind in the morning but I dont feel as If I am.

You're not more fertile hun you are just not 100% protected from getting pregnant just because you are EBFing

I was told by doc that the implant worked the same as the mini pill as it is progesterone only so safe for BFing

EBF is supposed to be 95-98% effective as long as you do it properly, so it's similar to the mini-pill. If you're going to do it though, you really need to acquaint yourself with the signs of returning fertility. Nothing is 100% except abstinence.

i'm gonna have the non hormonal coil fitted, as it's long-term, fairly hassle free and i don't want anything with hormones again if i can help it after hearing how others found their TTC was really affected from things like the pill and injection

i just had the implant fitted 2weeks ago, just started bleeding, mega pissed off about that! no other side effects so far tho.

i cant believe the NHS said that!! in order to have a period, you've got to before hand, so you can get pregnant without having a period. i remember getting taught that in school aswell, you can technically get pregnant before you start your periods!
