Contraction like feeling...not pregnant?

Weird question, but I figured it never hurts to ask.

I have a 5 1/2 month old, and am ebf and on the minipill & haven't had a period since giving birth. I usually take it on time but a few weeks ago I forgot by an hour or so several times a week. Then I had these random times of feeling nauseous, usually in the evening. I took a few dip tests, and one digital, just in case, but they were negative. Then in the last 2-3 days, I'm having these weird contractions like feelings in my uterus...I have had a small bit of cramping, but this is different..almost like it felt after DTD, when it would get firm for a few minutes. I know all my symptoms can be from a period trying to return, but its also the same as when I found out I was pregnant, except for the contraction like feeling. Has anyone had this? TIA!

I have noticed my period cramps feel,p different since giving birth. They're more like contractionsand my contractions felt NOTHING like period pain. I chalk it up to the changes to my body since giving birth.

Once my period returned I had contraction like pains. One time it was really bad and I was on the floor in so much pain. I think it sounds like your period is returning, but if you think it might be pregnancy its always worth getting a test. I will add too, that the one period I was in so much pain, I did get sick a few times, I think because the pain was so intense.

Thanks for the fast replies! I have a feeling it probably is just my period coming back, but the contraction feeling threw me a bit. The times I did have nausea, it wasn't from pain, once I was in the grocery store and felt like I was going to hurl I have some more digitals, so I'm waiting to take one monday, just in case. We do want more kids, but hoping to wait until Issie is about 1 1/2. Although I dreamed I was pregnant with twins last night lol 3 kids under 2 would be a handful!
