Since I woke up this morning I've had horrific Braxton Hicks. It's like a cross between needing to run to the loo to let my guts out the back end and a strong period pain. I haven't got back ache yet so I should be all good. How would you describe normal contractions though? I had back labor with my first baby so I have NO idea what to expect.

I never got a back ache with my (non back labour) contractions. That certainly doesn't sound like BH, maybe the early start of it? How far are you?

My contractions started as a tightnening across my stomach but then got really intense lower down
xx

I'm only 29 weeks today. I had a show last week and our midwife told us to be prepared in case this one decides to make an early entrance. They're not regulating or getting worse. Then again they weren't regular when I had my daughter either.

Mine are currently a sharp pain across the bottom of my bump that builds up.. kinda like when you really need to poop that moves deeper down into my cervix area and the pain just kind of lingers.. I really hope this is a contraction otherwise nothing is happening...

I've not had any backache at all.... well apart from the normal I get.. hmm...

Would def get that checked out if you are at risk for early labour, could be nothing but just in case

with my contractions on DD its was all around my back and stomach, women experiance diiferent pains when having contractions, i suffer with backache during my period not so much my belly xx

They've calmed down a fair bit now, which is good. I keep getting a pressure in my bum which makes me feel like I'm dying for the loo. If I sit on the loo it hurts like hell and need to use my arms to hold me up a bit lol. I look ridiculous. My OH keeps giggling at me the merciless swine! lol. My midwife said that Lilith is engaged but she can still move around etc. After a while the pressure'll go then I'll get the same pain I got when Amy engaged and KNOW that Lilith is doing it. I'm going to take a bath soon to relax and keep an eye on it. If they start up again I'll be calling the hospital!
