Copper coil vs mirena

I got the mirena in at the start of the month, It wasnt pleasant getting it in but I have a tilted uterus so it took a bit longer that normal. Felt a bit unsteady for about 45 mins afterwards. I had some cramping for about 12 hrs afterwards, but took some paracetomal and it was okay. I spotted for a week afterwards but since then so far so good! First had sex about 2 weeks after as I was worried it would feel weird or oh would feel something but it was just like normal Although, I keep panicing at some point each day that i havent took my pill :haha:

Missy86 and Ozzie, how did you get on w your fitting?? can you please update as im getting fitted for the Mirena next week. Also does getting "fitted" for it happen the same day as it actually getting inserted?...im so nervous bc i have a tilted uterus

It was fine hun, it didnt hurt but my cervix was in a good position and I bled for about 5 days after but it wasnt heavy

I forget I have it in now

Dont worry about having a tilted womb, as long as you let the dr know before hand it should make a difference

I haven't had it yet. I was giving DH one more cycle to see if I get pregnant. I don't think I am so I'm going to make an appointment shortly.

I had the gynefix which is frameless coil. less irritation.:)
