Has anyone taken this into consideration? Do you know someone who did it?
I am researching more about it.

I'm hoping to do this as I would be kicking myself if something were to happen and I hadn't done it. It's just really expensive here but totally worth it if, god forbid, you ever needed to use it.

I have looked into it but it very expensive so don't think we will be able to do it

I'm doing it. I know it is expensive, but it is really worth it. This may be cheeky to say, but seriously consider a bank loan to do it.

Once that cord is thrown away, you'll never get it back. Cord banking has already helped babies and small children get over diseases like cerebral palsy and sickle cell anemia and you cannot put a price on that! It can also help with leukemia, HIV, anything that requires marrow/white blood cells. And the cells may be able to help yourself, the father, and even other siblings.

Just my two cents xo

Have read a bit about it - anyone got a ball park figure regarding costs...?

It's something I think we'd like to do but I'm just not sure how we can afford it. If we can't though I'm thinking of donating the cord blood.
