Coughing and choking.

My 3 week old sometimes coughs and chokes while nursing (I am pretty sure I have an over supply), mostly during let down. How common is this? Should I be worrying about him aspirating milk? I've read a few things here and there about aspirating, and now I am worried!!

It will get better with time as your milk settles down. Maybe try expressing the first little bit right after letdown so it's not so forceful. It is hard to watch them struggle isn't it? But I wouldn't worry too much about aspiration, as babies have a gag reflex for that purpose.
