Hi ladies, im new to this forum.
So I got a positive pregnancy test on the 19th October. I had a 'normal' period on 10th August then on 11th september I had brown discharge so when I got a positive hpt on the 19th August I thought I was around 8 weeks, on the 24th October I went for an early scan as I had a throbbing left ovary (not painful, just uncomfortable) so the doctor booked me in as I had a chemical pregnancy back in May. Anyway the songraphers used a transabdominal can thinking I was 8 weeks like I believed but she couldn't find anything so switched transvaginal ultrasound and there she found a gestational sac and yolk sac and nothing else, she said the pregnancy is early around 4-5 weeks. They told me that my ovaries are slightly polycystic too. I go back for my scan this Wednesday 7th November and I'm going out of my mind with worry. Has anybody else had a dilemma like this with a good outcome? I Also has anybody had a dodgy/weird brown period and gotten pregnant after? xxxx

I had no advice really but maybe that was your period in sept which would put your dates on the right track.. also seeing a yolk sac is a good sign

Yeah thats what I'm hoping has happened but the sonographers said it was more implantation bleeding and that's why it was brown. Thank you, you have raised my hopes up about the yolk sac as I thought it didn't really matter either way if the yolk sac was there or not xxx

one thing to remmebr is sonographers are not doctors. I have read a lot of stories on here and most have good outcomes, though not always. I hope your next scan gives you more answers, from what i tought i Knew it was better to see a sac with a yolk then an exmpty sac.

Very good news today! Fetus pole seen also our little jellybeans heartbeat. Turns out I'm 7 weeks so that funny brown period was a period after all! Couldn't of of wished for a better outcome! Thank you so much for the support and hope xxx
