Could it be an ectopic?

following the spotting yesterday, i have had very low pain in my left side all day! i phoned epu and have a scan booked for wed
what should i be looking for, i havent had any more bleeding since yesterday just the dull pain

with my ectopic i only had bleeding no pains, there was nothing sound in my uterus during the three scans i had so they gave me methotrexate to disolve my pregnancy to be on the safe side, how far gone are you? do you know what your bloods are?

no idea of bloods but test was dark this morning, im 5+1 got scan on wed when ill be 6weeks x

when you started bleeding did you not go to A&E they will do a beta blood which will tell if you might be suffering an ectopic.

it was only spotting and i dont seem to have any now, just the dull pain

With my ectopic I had spotting off and on and pain in my left side. It wasn't a sharp pain or constant, but it was enough to make me double over in pain and I felt completely exhausted.

It's good that you have an appointment for a scan, but try not too worry too much (I know easier said than done) until then. Spotting can mean absolutely nothing too.

If the pain gets really bad, I would get checked out sooner though. If the tube ruptures it is a really serious situation. If you start bleeding more heavily or if you double over from the pain, feel like you can't stand up straight or have to grab your side, definitely get checked out right away.

OK maybe I over reacted but you can never be too sure!!
still had spotting yesterday but none since and i feel good today i also got 2-3weeks on a digi so thats put my mind at rest too

I had spotting 3times in this pregnacy. Once at 5weeks, once at 6 weeks and once at 8 weeks. I also had a little bit of pain with this. I got a scan at 6weeks to check on baby and baby was in the proper place and had strong heartbeat. I am now 17weeks pregnant. I would try not to worry. Sometimes pain is normal as your body even at this early stage is changing so much.

Good luck with your scan. With both of my ectopic the pain and bleeding was consistant. Sound like it has subsided for you now so u should be fine but if the pain comes back and is unbearble go to the ER right away. The digi going up is a good sign too. FXX it is just growing pain and the babes getting comfy.
