Ok so my hubby & I started to TTC on September 12. A few days later I started getting the symptoms of pregnancy, bloated, metal taste in mouth, breast tenderness, slight cramping not bad...those symptoms lasted a little over a week with the cramping coming more often & more intense...well on September 29th I woke up & no bloated feeling,no metallic taste but more intense cramping, I took a PT & it was a BFN so I put on a pad thinking it was AF ready to come well the next morning (September 30) I had horrible cramping even in my back to where i didn't want to move & really heavy bleeding with alot of clots (tmi) I had sever cramps the whole day by the next day, October 1, the cramps were gone & the flow was like a normal period, if i was pregnant I would have been only 2 weeks & I took 2 tests & both were negative..Could I have miscarried without even knowing it? Would there be anyway for a DR. to tell? Any advice would be great..thank you

If it was a M/C should we start to TTC so soon?

I have to say I haven't had menstrual cramps in 5 years since the birth of my second son so it was kinda weird for me to have any at all

Hi hun

It's really hard to say as you didn't test before the cramping started. It may have been a very early miscarriage. Unfortunately this is very common and most women don't know it's even happened. I had 2 early miscarriages. I did go and have a chat with my GP after my 2nd and she explained that there's nothing to stop you from ttc again but it all depends on the individual.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck.

I wonder how often it happens to woman who think i is just AF..it's really hard to say..but thank you

My nurses said that this happens to as many as 40% of early pregnancies - as you say most people just think it is a late period particularly in the 2 weeks after AF was due. The only positive to take from them is that your body did what it was supposed to do so there is no reason not to try again as soon as you're ready.

thank you..I can't really be to upset by it cuz I didn't know if I was pregnant or not but it is still sad..We have started to TTC again so hopefully we will have a better outcome next time...

Oh I forgot to mention last post I do have a condition that can cause Miscarriages..I'm not sure what it's called but it's where there is a dimple in the top of your uterus..this never caused a problem before but it might have gotten worse so I'm thinking I may have to go to the DR & discuss it with her first & probably have to have an ultrasound to see if it's gotten any worse.

Ok what I have is a Uterine Septum..I had to go do a little research to figure it out..lol

Probably best to see your doctor about it honey, it may save you any future heartache & help you on your wway to celebrating a :bfp:

Sending you much love x x x x

that what i told my hubby..i'll probably go have an ultrasound done to see if it has gotten worse....Well if the egg implanted on the septum then it would cause a miscarriage BUT if it implants on the uterine wall then it will be fine..so what i'm thinking is this time it implanted on the septum so hopefully it won't happen again
