could my 1 yr old have slapped face disease?

hi, i was just wondering if they are any mums out there who has a child with slapped face disease, as my 16 month old sometimes gets bright red cheeks like hes been slapped are something, it looks pretty bad and warm to the touch like he has a temp :S this happens every so often and can last for days any info would be great

Not sure but I think slapped face is a temporary sickness hun, not an on going thing.. .can you take a picture and ask your doctor? Is it when he' been outside in the cold?

well he gets it every so often :S but it look pretty bad when he does get it , and yh he gets a red face when outdoors but also gets it when hes in

If it's coming and going every now and then it won't be parvovirus. The "slapped cheek" effect would just happen the once, then the infection would resolve.
