As soon as I got my bfp o said to dh that it would snow when baby was due.

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and have a planned homebirth in uk. Its due to snow again over the next few days and stay cold and icy. If baby decides to come out, will the hospital refuse to send midwives because it's dangerous for them to drive?

If they did, would it be more dangerous for you to give birth at the side of the road in the snow?

Would they offer to send ambulance and would it be the best thing to say ok to that or to stay at home? Gosh I feel a bit fretful over this. Hopefully it won't be an issue!

I posted last week about this. I had a phone call to say they were not providing a homebirth service. Expecting the same again tonight - though this time it looks like it will be a lot heavier.

They told me to call a taxi. and come to the birth unit. Trying not to stress about it at the moment.

Fingers crossed we'll get a bit of a thaw over the weekend, if you HAVE to go to hospital I'm sure will still be supported for a natural birth, I really really hope you will be ok to HB x
