Council Tax Help..very confused

If the payments your making arn't being used to pay any off this financial year, then after a few missed payments they will normally ask for the full amount, rather then just the missed payments. They do it because it's cheaper for them to get a court summons for the full year, then to do it every couple of months if payments keep getting missed.

If you give them a call though I'm sure they'll agree to another repayment plan.

I forgot to pay my council tax last month and got a letter through the post saying if i didn't pay it straight away I would lose my right to pay in monthly installments so you may have to pay it all off at once now? It's a bit over the top them trying to take you to court, you may be able to come to some arrangement with them, or are they having none of it?
