Hi all

We normally premake Chloes bottles with Cow and Gate 1, we are moving her over to the Comfort formula as she's quite unsettled at the moment. I was just wondering anyone that has used this before, is it still ok to premake this one or does it need to be made fresh each time?

Thanks :flower:

Hi,

We use cow and gate comfort - as a rule i make up the bottles with water and then add the formula as needed...

Avent do a really handy formular dispenser that makes this alot easier.

The formula is quite a lot thicker than first milk or hungry baby, you need to make sure you use the next stage teats or vari flow teats and also make sure you shake the bottles really well as they can somethimes get clogged up in the teat or at the bottom of the bottle....

Hope this helps,

Emma x

So do you not add the formula to hot water then, doesn't that mean it wont kill the bacteria properly?
thanks for the warning about it clogging the teat and bottom of the bottle, we changed the teats although discovered we only have 2 so think I might need to get some more lol

Thanks

my LO is on comfort. Yes you can premake. Comfort NEEDS to be made with hot water for it to 'activate' and work properly. Otherwise if you look at the milk it has little crystalized bits in - meaning water was too cold and it hasnt been sterilized. So premaking is the next best solution to making each feed fresh. X

excellent thanks for that, least i can stop making them one at a time then lol
