Probably a silly question, but I'm hoping to switch to C&G Comfort, because Chloe's gas is so bad that I think it warrants it. We were on Aptamil until she was 7 weeks, then we switched to the C&G infant milk, because we got it mixed up and thought it was the one for colic (we grabbed the first one we saw that said for newborns ) so now want to make the switch to Comfort.
I noticed on the pack though, it says you should seek medical advice before using it Do they put this on every type of formula, or is this one different? I know it has a different blend of fatty stuff to help with colic and constipation, but that doesn't warrant a doctor's visit does it?
I want to do what's best for her, obviously, I'm just worried that if I see a doctor they will shrug it off and tell me to continue on the milk we're on. Nobody seems to be able to tell me what's wrong with LO; she acts like she has colic, and cries with pain for about 20 minutes in the early afternoon when she's trying to fart, but when I tell the HV etc, they just shrug and say "perhaps she just doesn't like farting", and then laughs. Thanks, but that's not very helpful, and my child crying with pain is not funny She's been like this for about 3 weeks now, and if a change in milk will help, I want to do it.
