Any advise? 6 week has it on forehead and eyebrows. Leave it or try and treat do you think?

Under advise of hv never did much to treat my 1st born and he still has it on scalp at 2 1/2 :(

For the cradle cap my lo had on his face I used aveeno cream which got rid of it but irritated his scalp so on his scalp on I tried lots of things and the only thing that worked in the end was vegetable oil and cradle cap brush.

I put a little bit of water on then the oil, leave on for a few minutes brush around in circles wash off then shampoo (I use aqueous cream due to eczema) then scrub with the brush again and rinse

I used baby oil to get it off los head. It still works when they've got hair. For a young baby's face I'd put some on then rub v v gently with cotton wool.

I just use coconut oil :)

Mine had this too, first on her eyebrows and then her head. I left the eyebrows alone, and it cleared up after a couple of months. For her head, I used to just gently brush it with a little soft brush - Tommee Tippee make one with gentle bristles. It would probably have gone away on its own, but it certainly seemed to disappear soon after I started brushing her head. You could try it on his eyebrows lol.

I was prescribed double base cream for dd by her Gp - it cleared her cradle cap really fast. Ds has a tiny bit on his head & in his eyebrows - you can buy double base over the counter do I'm using it again & it's almost gone within just days of treating it early

I'll be trying some of these as DD has it on her head. My DS had it and I never treated it, it's still pretty bad now and he's four! He has thick hair so you can't see it, but the hairdresser mentioned it the other day.

My health visitor said for the face to brush it gently with a soft toothbrush and with a brush for his head (he has lots of hair though!)

I can't believe my doctor after reading this! My son had this on his eyebrows. I had no clue what it was but I looked up many images online and all I could come up with was it was dermatitis or possibly eczema. So I go to the doctor and get it checked out and he says that its probably dermatitis like I thought and since my husband has sensitive skin, that is probably where my baby gets it from. Now I just googled images of cradle cap on eyebrows and it is exactly what my son had!! Wow, I can't believe that a doctor didn't know it was cradle cap!

He ended up giving me an antibiotic cream and it was gone in 3 days. Before I went to the doctor I did use coconut oil and it was starting to get yellow and it probably would have also cleared it up in a few days.

He never had cradle cap on his head and I had no idea that they could get it on their eyebrows and forehead. So I had no idea what it was.

So glad for this site where everyone can share their experiences and expertise for us first time moms! :)

I rubbed LO's cradle cap with a soft bristled hair brush and we used a small amount of tea tree oil in a drop of organic shampoo, massaging it into her head leaving it for 5mins and washing her normally in the bath.
Did this for 2 nights in a row and she hasn't had it since which will be about 5 months ago now.

Thanks for all the advise everyone will be trying on the lo. Now to try and get his older brother to stand still long enough for me to try and treat him too 😉
