I just found out that I am due on 8/14 yesterday...well I am scared to death cause I have had two losses this year...They started me on Prometrium yesterday...but for the last week I have felt like AF is about to come! It scares the crap out of me! Should I worry about this??

Cramping is normal. I have cramps every day. It is just your uterus stretching out to accomodate it's new tenant!

Like the previous posters, I have also had daily cramps since I found out that I was pregnant. With having a miscarriage in January, they tended to freak me out up until a couple of weeks ago.

Congrats and hang in there! :hugs:

I felt like my AF was coming (fatigue, sore bbs all the good stuff) before I realized I was preggo.

it's entirely normal - don't worry. I honestly thoguht all hope was lost the month I fell pregannt ( before I did the test) as I was certain AF was on her way. Even after the test I've felt these cramps most days.
Doc says it's fine and prescribed magnesium. I can't say if it helps as I've not started it yet.

But don't worry

Pregnancy & period cramps are the same - very frustrating esspecially when you have experienced a loss before.

Congrats on your BPF....cramps are normal I'm afraid :hugs:

I just worry so easy....I have had 2 losses this year and every ache and pain freaks me out now! I tested this morn with my last IC and it was darker than the other days but not as dark at the control line....Also I talk to a nurse online who is one of my friends and honestly I wasnt nearly as scared until I talked to her! She said that the prometrium that I am on should take the cramps away completely if it is doin its job and that I may not be on the rite dose and seemed worried that I was crampy and stuff....It worried me to death after that!

I was wondering about cramps too. They are really bad. Was starting to worry something bad was happening too!

Hi

I am due on the 5th August 2008

I found out I was pregnant because the last two weeks I've had bad cramps. I initially thought it was to do with my PCOS but the doctor suggested a test and low and behold I am pregnant.

The doctor said not to worry about the cramps so I'm not worrying but it is extremely painful!

SAME HERE!! It has been extra hard to believe that I am actually pregnant while I feel like AF is coming...I wonder when it is finally going to sink in?? Hopefully it will after my first appointment Tuesday 12/11. YAY YAY YAY I can't believe that I am a mommy!!

Hey hun I think the nurse online is wrong about that one. Read up on this.. One of the side effects is cramping and dizzyness. Not only that like I said take a breather hun, Let god do his work I know its hard with the losses I have had 1 myself. And, its scary. But it is very normal unless its accompanied by heavy bleeding (talking about soaking a pad in an hour)

Says not to take while pregnant !!! LOL. Well progestron is obviously used to save pregnancys.. Very good info though on here..

How should you take Prometrium?

Take Prometrium as directed by your doctor. If Prometrium is prescribed to prevent abnormal buildup of the uterine lining, you will take it once a day for 12 days in a 28-day cycle. If it is prescribed to treat missed menstrual periods, you will take it for 10 days. Prometrium is taken in the evening. If you have difficulty taking Prometrium, swallow the capsules with a glass of water, while standing.

* If you miss a dose...
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.

* Storage instructions...
Store at room temperature. Protect from light and moisture.
