Cramping after D&C?

Hi there,
I had a D&C last thursday and I'm experiencing bad cramping on and off.
I woke up in pain last night and had to take pain killers in order to get back to sleep and the day before I was out for a walk and started getting strong contractions! I'm just having light bleeding,, though after the cramps it tends to get heavier for a short while. Hopefully it's just my uterus emptying out everything and my fibroids shrinking!.

I might phone my doctor tomorrow to see what he thinks, I'm worried I might get an infection, though I have no other symptoms.

Is this normal?

I just went straight to the maturnity when i had problems as when i spoke to any1 over the phone they just fobbed me off.

i recommend going to the doctors i had bad cramping and it turned out i had an infection i hope everythings ok

I had a D & C 4 weeks ago and had some cramping after but nothing to bad. I think its probably best to see your doc just to check there is no infection. If there were any infection the longer you leave it, it will take your body longer to get back in its regular cycle. I think thats what we all want, it seems forever waiting dont it?
