Cramping and weird sex dreams

Hi ladies

This is a really weird experience for me and I'm hoping some of you can shed some light on this. I found out on Friday that I'm pregnant after my first round of IVF, so today is technically 13DPO or 8dp5dt. Since last week I've been having cramping every day (which I think could be from the cyclogest I'm taking?) but since Saturday night I've had a weird sex dream every night, and (TMI) I think I uh 'get to the point of no return' so to speak Afterwards I have really bad cramping and I'm wondering if this is normal?

I've heard some women get weird dreams during pregnancy but I'm concerned that all this night time dream activity and the resulting cramping will have an impact on the baby?

I have had cramping since before my BFP, as far as I know it's perfectly normal as long as there is no blood and it's just AF like pain. I also had the cramping when pregnant with DS.

The sex thing...I'm guessing it's increased bloodflow to the vaginal area doing it I have had very vivid dreams but no sex dreams yet. When DH was circumcised a couple of years ago and we couldn't do the deed, I had sex dreams every night ( to the point of no return). This pregnancy, I have put a ban on sex until 12 weeks (cruel but I feel necessary after an EP and MMC) so I am fully expecting to start them again! A combination of the extra blood flow and sexual frustration will do that to anyone I always see it as a pleasant thing, except for the occasion where I had a dream about Wayne Rooney. I still can't look at photos of him. He was much nicer looking....and taller...in my dream.

As for cramping afterwards, If I remember correctly from my first time round with DS, cramping always followed any kind of sexual activity that resulted in an O. It's the same if I have ever had an O while on AF. No idea why but I guess it's perfectly normal!!

Thank you!! And I'm so glad that I'm not alone, my husband was laughing his head off at me and I was blushing furiously with embarassment explaining the situation. And Wayne Rooney - ugh! Why are they always better looking in our dreams....I had a similar dream about a guy at work who's NOT attractive in the least....but in my dream it was a whole different story.

Thanks for helping put my mind to rest DH thinks it's now fair game if I have another dream like that hahahahah!

crampings normal as for after dreams not sure i had sex dreams when i was pregnat with my son! dreams are dreams and no idea where they come from! sure felt real tho! haha!

Im with you on this one,its been happening all the way through my pregnancy and i have been cramping which is waking me up i have to say the cramping has died down now, but i am not having much at the mo so think it must just be that. Worst thing is oh heard me having 1 the other night

I had those dreams too, twice in the week 4 or 5 and I'd wake up with big cramping as well!! Cramping as calmed down now!

I ALWAYS have vivid sex dreams when I am pregnant and I hate them! So glad to know it's not just me.

hey hi....dont worry!same xperience here.
M on 10 weeks....but in 4/5 week....i had sex dreams....and got cramping...which woke up me in night.The cramp remained 5 minutes...then fine.It happened twice. but its normal

Gosh so pleased i found this thread i have woken up a few times having had a sleep orgasm and no idea what i was dreaming about but yes horrid cramps afterwards ouch! i was also really worried about my bean but so far hopefully ok - and to top it off i can't even remember what i was dreaming about LOL.

I'm also not bding until 12 weeks and havent since ov so this maybe why....

So pleased there is a few of us!

Mine seems to have stopped now. The cramping has continued though. I'm just a bit paranoid about one-sided pain given my history with ectopics so hoping these next few weeks pass by quickly so I can get my scan and make sure everything's ok!

I think it's the most bizarre thing but I experienced it 2x as well. My husband thinks im really weird. Cant wait to tell him this is common....

I've been having a lot of vivid sex dreams recently and I wake up like, was that actually real??? lol...I heard and read that when you orgasm and it cramps its where your uterus is contracting through the hormones- nothing to worry about...
I read about people postponing it but the way i've been since i found out is i've gagged for it so much which isn't like me, i can't go a day without it!! It's driving OH insane i think lol. I know there will come a point where it won't interest me and I guess we're both waiting for that point so we're enjoying my 'need' whilst it lasts! xxx

Ah hopingforit, you made me smile DH wants me to wake him next time it happens and I said to him not a chance!! If it's this painful and it's just me and my (rather freaky) imagination then he's not coming near me for a long time!
