Ok ok, soooo I know that some cramping can be completely normal during the first trimester of pregnancy and I had cramping during my first pregnancy (lost baby at 8 weeks), but THIS time around, the cramping can become quite intense at times! I'm ONLY 4 weeks prego today, but a few days this past week, I have had SUCH intense cramping, like I could start my period at ANY moment, that it's of COURSE got me worried!! NO bleeding...just cramps. Ouchie cramps. It's hard to hide how uncomfortable they are when they happen in front of people..which is bad for me because I'm trying to keep this pregnancy a secret from the world until about 10-12 weeks. Has anyone else had this experience??? My hubby says that since this time around the cramps are WAY more intense, maybe it means that this baby is REALLY digging into my uterus deep, and that we'll DEFINITELY have a sticky baby this time. He's soooo sweet! I sure hope he's right!!

Being as you are only four weeks along, it's more than likely you are experiencing implantation cramps. Implantation typically occurs 8-10 days after you ovulate and you might even spot a little bit but it's just the baby 'diggin' in. So, sounds like DH might be right after all! But if you are really concerned, call your doctor. They'll better be able to tell you what might be going on. Hope everything turns out okay!

What a thoughtful guy! I have been cramping for like, a week straight. Kept waiting for my period to start (and kind of still am). So far nothing. They feel just like they do right before I start so I am on edge as well. Fingers crossed for us all.

I spent time today googling cramping during early pregnancy as I am experiencing some myself. It definitely feels like af like pressure, and sometimes a little stronger which makes me nervous. It seems like it should be normal from what I've read though!

I had a lot of AF type cramps around weeks 4 - 5, then they eased off. I'm still getting the occasional ache, but it is more of an uncomfortable dull ache then a cramp. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow.

Good luck, fingers crossed for us all xx

Thanx ladies!! cb1--your response has really set me at ease. Yes, the more I think about it, the more I think that this is probably implantation pains...which means hubby was right (but we'll NEVER let him know that!-hahaha!!) Now that I hit 4 weeks prego, the cramps have gotten a lot more sparse and not as intense, although, I DO still get them on occasion, at least once or so a day, but NOTHING as intense as they were when I was 3 weeks prego. Hoping that next week at 5 weeks, they'll be completely gone and I'll just have the occasional ache/pain here or there. It's just SO scary when you've already lost one before, ya know?? EVERYTHING that hurts makes me nervous! I actually enjoy the huge, swollen, tender boobs and the terrible nausea from time to time...lets me know that i'm STILL prego! Good Luck ladies!!! <3
