Just got a question, sorry if TMI.

Gillian was born 3 weeks ago tomorrow, then I had to have placenta removed in surgery.

Bleeding was ok afterwards, but 3 weeks on and I still have alot of cramping, its got worse over the last few days. Like bad period pain. Little bleeding, more "brown" blood, not enough to use a pad, and little on panty liner, but when I wipe it is on tissue.

I feel a bit "strange" down there also, kind of feels like it does if you have ever used a tampon but it is not in right - sorry TMI.

Has anyone else had cramping so long, called for a doc appt, first one next wednesday, so almost a week away. Just a bit concerned something is wrong.....

Hi Sweetie, are you sure this isn't AF? After I had to have my placenta surgery removed I bleed lightly for about 3 weeks and then was spotting for a few days and then AF came. I tell you the cramps were different then before my loss, not sure if this helped.
I am very upset that you called concerned and they put you off until Wednesday that just seems like a long wait.
Sorry about that:hugs:

sorry to hear about your loss and such a long wait, my gp like to make me wait too. :hugs:
i was going to say that this is probably your AF due to the fact it was 3 weeks ago since poceedure x x x x x x x x x

So sorry hun.

I too had my angel followed by D&C for the Placenta. I bled for 15 days on and off followed by odd days of spotting (also brown) for a good few weeks after and then AF.

I can't say I recall cramping however I did get all the PMS symptoms, bloating, moody etc from about 3/4 weeks after, I just "felt" like AF was coming although it didn't for another 6 weeks! I did however get a lot of cramping just before and During my AF and I don't normally have cramping. Some people do get their AF quite soon after others it takes a long while so very likely that is what it is, glad you're going to get checked though, just to be sure. I would try not to worry too much though, just keep an eye on things and if it gets worse or you're really concerned go to A&E so you can get seen right away.

I know what you mean about the down there feeling. It's possibly just recovery from the birth hun and the procedure, I know after mine, I'd been having internals for days before hand and after the loss as they were trying to get placenta out naturally so a lot had been going on. Do mention it to you Dr though and they can check to be sure thats all it is.

Take good care and hope all is ok for you x
