Hi

This is my first post - new to this.
I am 5 weeks pregnant and 2 days ago started having stomach cramps, which then eased after a couple of hours, then about an hour later, started bleeding. Seemed reasonably heavy but only lasted a couple of hours.
Doctor told me to go straight home and rest as I couldn't get an early scan appointment for 6 days!! I am now on day 2 of resting, worrying, fearing the worst and going out of my mind waiting.

Has anyone had these symptoms and not had M/C?

Thanks

Hi hun so sorry your going through this, many ladies have bleeding and cramps and go on to have healthy babies. Are you still having the bleeding and cramps ?
if not then it could have just be implantation bleeding also some ladies get some bleeding about the time there period would have been due.
really hope it turns out well , take care xx

Hi
The cramps lasted no more than 2 hours and the bleeding has stopped dripping, just dark blood when I visit toilet (sorry if that's graphic).

Oh honey

It is so difficult to say: some people do have cramps and bleeding, but - like becky says - go on to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

I had a MC earlier this week and I knew pretty quickly (within about 6 hours of the first bleeding) what was happening, 24 hours after first bleeding there was no doubt whatsoever. I was 5 weeks and 3 days.

At that early stage in pregnancy, there is very little they can see on a scan (since the heart doesn't always beat by then), that is why they have offered you a scan in 6 days. Before 6 weeks they can't really tell whether your baby is healthy or not.

Hang in there, rest, look after yourself, and try not to worry (easier said than done). And remember that we are here with lots of support.

Lots of positive thinking and best wishes to you.

I did have spotting ( brownish/some pink ) in 3 of my pregnancies. The bleeding was in the early weeks like this and all them turned out fine. I know how you feel it is worrying. Bleeding in pregnancy is common and there are many women that go on till birth. FX'd for you . :dust:

Sorry to hear as the rest of the girls say it is so hard to tell at this early stage. I suffered a miscarriage last week and after a day of brown spotting, it turned to red blood which was heavy, then I knew it wasn't good and it got heavier and I passed llots of clots (tmi sorry)
I do hope you just have implantation bleeding though and you do have a sticky bean
Goodluck and I hope it turns out well for you
xxx :hug::hug:

Thinking of you sweety. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that you can do but wait.
