i read in a book recently that cravings for unhealthy & weird things (like banana pizza :S) are all in the head..its pscyological! because u expect to get them because its what you are told by doctors,midwifes,pregnancy books,families, friends etc you start thinking about cravings and then "crave" foods. apparently though if you crave healthy food..stuff with plenty of calcium (milk) and iron and vitamins its because you dont have enough of it in your diet and the baby needs it. i duno how true this is..but i know i havnt craved anything yet or i dont WANT to crave anything so i wont..iv only gone off foods..like pizzas and chips! which is good as far as the baby is concerned!! also when ur pregnanct you get more hungry so u want to eat more and anything will take your fancy. i duno like i said how true it actually is but my boyfriends mum didnt crave anything with her 3 kids because she told herself at the beginning of her pregnancys it was all in her head.
