So for the better part of the last few hours, I've had a sore back and no amount of moving can make me comfortable. Not back pain but like I've overworked the muscles. Discomfort in my pelvis like I need to poop but I can't, a VERY quiet baby for the last 24 hours and some tightening across my belly which I know aren't Braxton Hicks. It's either baby on the move or early labour. :happydance: I'm not getting too excited though just in case.

I think this might be ladies! :happydance: I've just had that constant pain in my lower back and my bump getting tight since around 3pm. It hasn't eased up and has picked up a little where I THINK I am feeling early contractions because they have a peak and slowly die off. Every 10-15 minutes give or take. But I'm still walking okay though my pelvis feels heavier than it did earlier, I can still drive (just) and I can still speak though I do have to stop on occasion when things get tight. So I've feed the rabbit, the cats, made Alexander's 3 bottles for tomorrow morning, afternoon nap and bed as well as put a couple of bottles of chilled water in the fridge for him too. Going to hit the shower because I'm dripping wet in sweat (damn heatwave) and hoping I can manage a bowl of ice-cream, some Netflix and some sleep before I NEED to ring the other half. :haha:

As for arrangements, I've got a friend on standby to come be with Alexander if we need to head in later tonite and MIL will come take over when she's done what she needs to do tomorrow morning. I've done it that way because I'm not f**king around with installing a Diono into another car while in labour. And with that arrangement with MIL, I am prepared to give hubby's 'sister' another chance BUT that starts with her NOT being in my home while I'm not here. I've said MIL only because I've been funny with people in my home since a home invasion years ago and she's welcome to meet baby but that is on my terms as to when. I want 2-3 days at home with just the kids father and my children before immediate family visit for a bit which 'hubby' supports then I will see how I feel with everyone else. Though they will only be short visits and by arrangements only.

Best of luck Wacky! I've been low key stalking 3rs tri to see if you'd gone in to labour. :haha:

So as luck would have it, pulling around my bump, hips, back and in my vagina, pressure, discomfort for the better part of 11 hours - 3pm-2am. I sucked it up, carried on with life and did what I needed to do because I'm pretty good with pain. So I thought I'd get some sleep in because let's face it, when Push Day happens we need ALL the strength we can get right? Was expecting to be woken up by contractions between 4am-6am this morning. So I wake up at 8am and realize that all this has not done anything! So damn defeated. 11 hours of that and something should have happened!

It will happen, don’t worry! Mine did this silly stop start thing last time, it’s so frustrating. Try to sleep as much as possible so you aren’t too exhausted when it finally kicks off!

Just so over our NZ Summer at the moment. It's too damn hot for me at the best of times and being pregnant isn't helping that fact. I hope he's here in the next 24 hours. I have a GP appointment I don't really want to change. It's taken almost a couple of weeks to get it because they have been so busy. :nope:

THe same thing happened to me the day before I had my second son.
I had rushes all day on and off and then they picked up at like 8pm they were 5 minutes apart and I was throwing up and couldn’t get off the toilet until midnight when finally that stopped so I went back into bed fell asleep around 2 got woken a few times then woke in the morning and nothing.
I had my appointment the next morning I was 40+1 and I was 5cm dilated 100% effaced and bulging waters and I had him just after 2am the next morning.
As much as it sucks just think of all the work that is being done before the big finale.

Oh so frustrating for you! Sounds like your body is gearing up though. Hopefully the next few days! X

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping so. The lower back pain, pelvic pain and pain in my vagina is back. Occasional pulling across my bump. But of diarrhea and nausea tonite too but I also had Mc Donalds which might be the reason for that. But I have a Obstetrician appointment tomorrow so either way, if I don't go into labour tonite he want's to get things started. Only consenting to a sweep though.

I think you will find with how much your body is doing already the deep will be that thing that tips you over!
Good luck hun and get a good nights sleep. Maybe have a bath with some candles a good book or even some netflix girly trash and then off for some needed zzz for hopefully tomorrow’s impending bid day!!

Good luck, you have been desperate for this baby to come out for ages! Take a hint baby! Looking forward to seeing your update x

So I went to my specialist appointment today and given by my midwife's notes I'm 38+4 days (she's going with EDD for Feb 3 which the lab gave her) the specialist said it's time to go ahead and seriously look at getting this baby out so any day is my call for induction. I told him 'right now sounds good' and he laughed saying I need to be booked in for it. I told him I'm not consenting to a medical and would rather a sweep so he's done that but said if I'm not in labour by Friday then I'm going in for my waters to be broken and that's final. So I had to be fair. But the good news is that I WAS feeling early labour the other day because I'm 3cm dilated. :happydance: So ready!

That's positive that you're already 3cm! I hope the sweep works, pretty sure it was what got everything properly started for me second time around.

Jumping around while he was doing the sweep - didn't expect it to be quite so sore! But I felt something snap like a rubber band. :haha: Apparently that's the membranes being loosened from the cervix and is completely normal!

Well good luck hun hopefully it does the trick!
As annoying all that prelabor is it gets the hard work out of the way before real labor even starts so it is actually a great thing! Will be keeping an eye on this post
