So I haven't been feeling quite right for a few months and I've been looking into it and 'cryptic pregnancy' seems to point to all my symptoms. But me and my now ex-boyfriend were careful, we used condoms, I know that they are not 100% effective and we may have used a defective one, we also usually started without one so there is also a chance there, I realize the chances of both of these are incredible slim, but strange things happen. But since March(which we were living together then) my period has been off, it typically lasts 6 or 7 days, isn't all that heavy, was always around the same time of month, very consistent, but since March it's been normal for 2 or 3 days then super heavy the next day then it's either normal or stops for the next day or two then picks back up - it's different each time, it moves throughout the months, it's just totally not what I'm used to. I was going to see a doctor in June about it but my boyfriend dumped me and I just sorta stopped caring what could be wrong with me, dumb I know. I first thought of pregnancy as an option in July cause I sleep on my stomach and it suddenly became uncomfortable, like it put too much pressure on my belly, it's bizarre. I also started getting heartburn, fatigue, I felt like I was peeing more often and I was getting diarrhea which is a really rare occurrence with me. I have been really stressed so I wrote it off as that, but in October a friend convinced me to take a test, came up negative, put it out of my mind. But recently, I've been getting roving belly pains: near the bottom of my hips, up at the top of my hips, near my belly button, just throughout my entire belly, sometimes in my lower back. they're like dull but sharp pains and they last only a few minutes, they come and go, I sorta describe them as feeling like, if there is a baby, like it's stretching, like it pushes on one point and stops, I don't know if that's crazy. My stomach's also kinda tender, like if I lean across a counter, it bothers me and it never used to, same thing if I'm wearing like a robe with a tie, if I sit down it becomes uncomfortable, and I'm not gaining weight, but my stomach does seem to be firmer and stick out a bit more (I'm already heavy set so it's hard to tell) I've sorta been keeping track by just putting my hand underneath it, and like in August my index finger could bend up pass it and now it can't so I don't think it's all in my head. I've also read that extreme stress can cause your body to tell the baby to lay low to try to prevent further stress on the mother, and I have been nothing but stressed since freaking February of this year, and it's hard to de-stress when you're unsure if there's a baby on the way or not.
I just can't get the idea that I'm pregnant out of my head, and I was just wondering if there was any advice anyone could give me? If anyone's experienced anything similar? I'd like to find out but I have heard that blood tests and ultrasounds can come out negative, but I don't know how you go about setting up an ultrasound if you're not sure you're pregnant in the first place. I'm just not sure what I can or should do. Please help.
