I filed my case with the CSA right after Ethan's father vanish into thin air and that was about 1,5 months ago. They had a tough time reaching him as he had changed his number (W**KER) but finally got through to him at his work. They'd sent him the forms to fill out but he hasn't returned them within the 7-day mark (it's been 3 weeks since they sent them out).

I've now found out what his new mobile number is (jackpot) and have passed it on to the CSA, as well as his payroll details I found in our joint paperfile.

Would anyone know how long this part of the process is, where they go through the employer? I've asked them but they can only give a rough estimate (up to 12w), I was just wondering whether you guys have had any luck with these cases and how it all worked out?

I have to say, I did a little backflip when I got hold of his new number - there is no ways I will ever contact him as I've nothing more to say to the idiot, but from the CSA point of view, it sure is a small victory :happydance:

i don't know the answer sorry hun but gonna be keepin an eye out to see if anyone knows...
my fob has changed his number nd the only way i have to contact him is through his employer...
altho a friend of mine said they give the fob 6 months before he gets taken to court.
xx

I had to do this with my ex.. After they found his employer details and started the process it took about 2mths to see any money, but as soon as they started taking it straight from his work he quit Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr prick, now I have to do the same with Coopers dad grrrr does it ever end!!!

6 months! That's pretty unbelieveable, how much slack they get... not like the child will stop costing money whilst we wait, hey? I'm also worried he'll quit his job, he always hated it and could see this as the final straw.

I'm so embarrassed I was ever with him.

Thanks girls, I love this forum :) xx

don't worry everythin gets backdated to the date u contacted the csa!!
so they jus shoot themselves in the foot by tryin to dodge the csa... nd they normally don't realise this until its too late :haha::haha:
i know my fob is gonna dodge them... so i'm phonin the csa the day i bring this baby home from hospital!
i'd love to see the look on his face when he realises he has to back pay me everythin!
i'm jus not budgetin for his maintenance... then when he does start payin it will go directly into savings so i can get a reserve fund set up for me nd my lo.
xx

my ex never paid last months payment and the csa have been in contact with him but he refused to make a payment or set up a new direct debit, i have recieved a new payment schedule and if i have nothing in my account by the 6th of nov then they will letter him giving him 7 days to respond and if he doesnt then they will just go through the courts for a wages arrestment but im unsure how long it all takes, but so far im entitled to 2 months payments from him this month which i doubt i'll see but hes only making it difficult for himself as they will backdate the money to me.

Wow, it sounds like the CSA are actually getting better! When I split with my ex 6 years ago it took them nearly 2.5 years before they sorted out maintainance - and he was co-operating with them at that point! They still seem to pay it to me as and when they feel like it though :(

My FOB moved house and wouldnt tell me his new adress so I gave CSA all the information I knew such as his number, his old adress etc & they managed to track him down.. I made my claim on 14th september, apparently they tried ringing him and writing to him but no response so they've now put an attatchment of earnings on him which went through 6th oct so even thou I made my claim 14th sept Im only getting it backdated to the 6th oct grrrrrrrrrr. Still havent recieved a letter thou.. but the man dealing with my case said they contacted his employer on the 27th oct and he has 19 days to send the money to the csa so hopefully I should b getting a payment soon! xx

It's so great hearing your stories Ladies, as much as it infuriates me to hear about other women going through similar crap as me, it does help dealing with the stress. So thank you for sharing :hugs:

Backdated, you say... things looking up already! Haha, actually makes me giggle thinking how he will sh*t it when that money simply dissapears from his payslip. I remember it so well how when signing Ethan's birth certificate, the officer informed FOB that he would be financially responsible for the child if he signs the paper. Guess he's forgotten all about that hey!

All the best to you chicks :flower:

I put in my claim in october last year, they contacted me 4 weeks later, they called ex and then sent letter to which he didnt respond, they then contacted his employer for details, which they got. was told what id get around middle of december, but they did say that setting up a deduction of earnings could take up to 2 months to set up, depending on how quickly the employer responds. I got first payment in January, so was pretty easy case for me. As for backdated amounts, its only backdated to the date they make contact with ex, so i got 4 weeks backdated, which he agreed to pay in a lump sum. Have couple of friends who get nothing, it very much depends on your ex, as many just quick their jobs, my friends ex took voluntary redundancy the same week her claim was sorted out. so far i have recieved all payments, my ex isnt the type not to work, so guess iv been lucky there. phone them every week for regular updates x

I put my claim in 19th aug. and got my payment 1 nov.. should of been 19th oct. but his boss messed up the dates so it was late... once you receive your 1st payment you will then get it monthly... (thats what i was told) they told me it takes roughly 6 weeks if he pays them direct.. or 8 weeks if they have to get it from his work... Mine was also back dated...
the trouble is CSA cant pay you until they have got payment off him/work as they dont have the funding for it... xx

Hi it took me about 6 weeks (started process end sept) and have had confirmation it is all going through ok. However - i was lucky I had ALL his details right down to new employer.... think that made it quicker. They seemed to put one caseworker onto it for me so that made it easy to catch up on progress. Let's see if the money comes into the bank this month then! x
