FOB has not bought or paid a single thing for DD through my pregnancy or since she was born. He's not been in touch for 2 and a half months so I'm not holding my breath in that respect but I think it's bloody time he starts paying for her and helping me out financially if he's not gonna bother any other way.

Only problem is, I don't know if he has a job or not. He was going to college full time but he left and he lives with parents who give him everything on a plate (and who haven't met DD yet).

Anyway back to the point, is there anyway I could make a csa claim that means if he gets a job it's flagged and he starts paying immediately and how do I make a claim? I've no idea how csa works! :(

Thanks lovelies xx

Hi

I would contact the CSA as soon as possible, with my case they could not back date the claim but they start the claim from the point that you contact them, and if hes working he would be paying national insurance so I am pretty sure it would flag up on the system. Good luck x

Okay thanks ladies! Will do it qithin the month! Also are they contacted by csa? Even if they dont have a job, to let them know a claim has been made?

sorry just butting in here as FOB has just got a job... what details of his do csa need? xx

It says on the website, I believe all you really need to know is their full name and address and maybe date of birth? Of course any info is going to help x

thanks hun. xx

They'll find out for you what money he's getting hun so if he's getting social or is working they'll be able to sort something out for you.
Good luck x

My lo's dad is on incapacity benefit because he's supposedly depressed (what a joke that is) and CSA awarded me £2.50 per week from him..... Hardly seems worth it. Xxx

Haha I know doesn't seem worth it. But eventually he will get a decent job (I hope anyway) and I could do with any money.. Plus even if its just a litte, itll give me some satisfaction to know he will be pissed because he thinks he can get away with it and not see her or pay for her, but he's wrong ;)

That's why I did it lol... 6years later he's still a waste of space :)
Good luck though! She deserves every penny from him xxx

CSA have problems with FOB's who have no address or way of contacting them. apparently they need to issue a letter to them first if phone calls are not answered so as to give them time to contest and / or make arrangements. My FOB was eventually traced through HM revenue and customs and luckily I also knew where he currently worked. I think you can get major headaches and problems if a) you wait years to make a claim and have no idea where FOB now lives or works and b) if the shady bugger delays or hinders things by wanting DNA tests done and flits from home to home and job to job ( something my FOB has been doing)

I would just recommend that the day an FOB walks out on a woman, she immediately claims child support.

You have more chance of things moving along quickly than if you wait months or years, as, like I said above, it gets harder for them to trace him if e.g he no longer uses the mobile number you had for him or he has moved home and job.

Thanks hun! Deffo know his number, email and address :) going to get it done this month. No doubt he will deny paternity again though!

Meh, he can deny all he wants, DNA tests will show him the truth. I just agreed straight away to a DNA test when CSA called me saying he denied he was the father. I think they know if a woman is lying when they ask this,if she suddenly drops the case or says no. I also said to my FOB that if he wanted to make a fool of himself and be £100+ poorer, then go ahead. He then retracted it.

Dumb plonkers. Bad enough that they dump you just because you are pregnant with their child, they then go and rub salt in the open wounds by saying they are not the father!......utter idiots

He's already asked for a DNA test back at Xmas time. I agreed. Needless to say it didn't happen! X

Anyone know if csa can trace someone even if u only have their name and area that they live?
