CSA update

Hiya,

I've just recieved a call from CSA, and they can't do anything until i start recieving my child benefit, but i did ask the woman if they have found FOB, and she sid she's not really allowed to say until i recieve my benefit, but then said, it seems we have.....

How long do you start recieveing your benefit, cos i need it for this now and i also need it for my housing benefit forms?!

Id get back onto them. The thing i found with the csa is they never know what there doing, and will say anything to get out of answering ur questions. U will find u end up spending a fortune in tel calls to them and get no answers.

Sorry no idea how long it takes to come through, but dont think its long. Or at least i dont remember is being long.

The woman seemed really nice and said she would ring me back up on friday to update me and if in that time i recieve my letter to call her back, hope it dont take too long for the letter as need it for my housing!! xxx

is it a number on it or something you need?? id ring the job centre and chase up the CB and/or see if you can get the infor from the jobcentre that you need to pass onto the CSA.

I need a letter for my housing/council benefit and i need a ref number for the csa, but i cant get any of that until i hear from CB xxx

Tinks I am the exact same - was about to post a warning on here!

I called CSA today to get an update (been 3 weeks since I applied) they were like eh sorry but we didnt do anything with your case as you didnt have a CB number

I now have to wait roughly 3 weeks to get the CB number, then realpply and then its about up to 12 weeks from there to get letter sent to FOB

At this rate its gonna be about 6 months before I see a single penny from this moron!

The CSA are unbelieveble - sooo annoyed with them

The woman i spoke to seemed really nice, she said she would keep calling to keep me updated, but as soon as they have this number they will contact him

I hope its not that long for either of us edin, but they do back date it, but i no mine is gonna take longer cos FOB will ask for dna cos of his bird!!! xxx

I'm confused.... you need to be in reciept of child benefit to get the CSA to chase the FOB for a contribution?

That must take ages to set up!

Woadie yup. They never told me that and it's only because I chased them yesterday to get an update they told me. It's absolutely shocking.

Its something to do with a number they get assigned from CB, that CSA then use as well, its stupid and confusing and just makes thing take longer!!!
Its never bloody easy for us single mummies is it!!! xxx

The c.s.a are such muppets they mess u around all the bloody time but keep calling them & bugging them they will do summit about it if u say tht u will take it 2 the press if they dont sort it out a.s.a.p, hope this helps x

i got CB ref within two weeks, needed it to apply for tax credits. know i also needed it for csa!! havent applied to csa yet waiting to here back if he will pay me maintenence through private agreement

Yeah it seems every bloody one wants the CB number, CSA, CTC, H/C B they just dont make it easy xxx

H/C B? Arrghhh so much to find out.... I'm stunned by the CB thing, gawd the first thing I will be doing is sorting that one out then....
