Hiya every1 I'd like to ask a question lol I've bin on CTC & WTC for 3 years now still donno how the bloody thing works! Well to cut the story short I renewed last month at the beginning the sid if I aint heard anything by the 6 of june to call back but the thing is last year they had down my partner would earn 20,000 but wen he got his p60 he only earnt 8,900 because he ended up out of work! I called dem yesterday 4 a up date with it bin the 6th its still processing but the only owe me £160 that can't b right can it? I've two kids 1 age 3 and the other age 6 months and does you working tax go up wen you have more children because my partners stayed the same? Thanks

it probably is right, you will lose working tax credits if neither of you works (sorry i am assuming as you dont say whether or not you have a job)

you should have called them straight away to let them know he lost his job as they could have adjusted it at the time, you may have lost out because they only backdate a month now
