Curious.. and scared!

Just curious about this.. and it really has me scared!!!

I got pregnant fairly quick.. only took us one try of "really" trying.. and sadly ended in a mmc at 9 weeks with identical twins..

we got the green light to try again on april 28th.. so this technically will be our first cycle "trying again".. and Im scared to death it is going to take us a long time to conceive again.. I know that many healthy couples get pregnant within 1 year of trying.. but I just dont want it to take that long.. I know I have no control.. but would like it to happen as fast as last time..

My question is.. did any one get pregnant fairly quickly.. it end in mc.. and then get pregnant quickly after their miscarriage.. I just need some re-assurance.. I know that our time will come.. and I just have to be patient..

X gl hunni. I feel just like you?! This is first month of being alowed to TTC! And i felt positive mid cycle but now all i get are BFN's, and cramps are coming so witch may show soon!

aww hun i bet it wont take long at all for you to fall pg though i know how you feel.

with my 2 girls it took 8/9 months to concieve them. my 1st angel was a happy accident. when we lost the baby we started trying again and fall pg straight after sadly we lost that baby too. it then took us 6 months to fall with jessica so as you can see it does vary.

really hope you get your bfp soon. when we start ttc again i am going to dread it as i know how hard it was seeing af each month before i fall pg with jessica and thought it would never happen but it did.

Hi Shelby,

Glad to see that you got the green light to start trying again! That's very good news!

Like you, I got pregnant both times we got pregnant in the first month of trying. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened for us this time. We're now on our third cycle of trying, and it doesn't seem like it's going to happen for awhile yet. I had a doctor's appointment last Friday where he said that he thinks I've been experiencing anovulatory cycles since our miscarriage. He says my hormones probably haven't settled back into things properly and are throwing my body off. He said this happens to some women, but that since I obviously haven't got a problem ovulating, they might have to kick start things again with some drugs. Have to wait for my next period before we start investigating.

I know that it does happen for some people right away. What I found though is that I feel better if I convince myself that there's no way I'm going to get pregnant that cycle....then I'll be surprised if I actually am. It feels better emotionally to be on an emotional "high", than being on a "low" when I keep seeing BFN's.

Hope it happens quickly for you and that you're not like me and my crazy hormones!

I can't answer from experience as I'm also still waiting for my BFP after m/c in feb however one friend of mine had a miscarriage when she was 32 with her first baby and the next cycle was pregnant again - her little girl is now just over 1.
Another friend had 2 children the youngest being 5, decided to have another and m/c 5 times before having her little girl who is now 6months, she fell really quickly each time.

It's so different from one person to another, hoping it happens real soon for you hun x

im in the same boat as you... i had a mmc 5 weeks ago ( i was 8 weeks ) and me and the OH have decided to start trying again straight away. Its been 35 days since my D&C and still no show of but i also dont feel pregnant...

i know it can take 6 weeks to get your first AF after a mc and im too scared to test incase it comes back negative.

Hey sweetie... It took me 3 months to concieve first bubby who i lost at 9weeks... i miscarried end of august and was still bleeding for a month so obviously we couldn try in september... back to a regular period in october then concieved in November!

I think i was pretty lucky and this bubby is growing well but it was the longest few months because i was so desperate to be pregnant again!

Dont worry sweetie it will happen when its meant to (used to drive me nuts when people said that to me but its true!)
