Used 2yr old Preg text

43yr: I’m over 2wks late. I tested 2 days ago & they were both negative but then I noticed they were 2yrs expired lol. Side note, a I’ve been TTC for 9yrs & I’ve never been pregnant or been late. I know this sounds weird but I’m terrified to take another test. I’ve had so much difficulty & seeing another negative will send me into a spiral. Just came to vent. I suppose time will tell.. I’m either pregnant or I guess starting perimenopause.

I used expired tests before, my experience was the expired tests were less sensitive than the same brand new test. Expired test showed negative when a new one had a faint line, just for fun tried them a few days later and they showed positive but fainter than the obvious positive on new tests.

That was when testing at 9/10dpo though, by 2 weeks late it wouldn't have mattered and both showed dye stealers. For peace of mind I would take a non expired test though.
