hello, i went and had a cvs test after being told that my baby's nt measured 3.5 mm, which is above the normal limit. I had the test done on the 11th oct and have had the pcr results back and have been told that they have come back clear of down syndrome and trisomy 13 and 18. i was then told that the full chromosome results would be another week. The week has been and gone and when i chased for the results i was told the chromosomes were slow growing. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the fact that they are slow growing a sign that something is wrong? I'm going out of mind worrying about this.

Every genetic test I've ever heard of takes longer than they say it will. The only exception was when I had an amnio. The FISH results were back in 48 hours and the rest were back in a week. The tests my husband and I had took at least a week longer than they were supposed to and the test the baby had took twice as long as it was supposed to.

I wouldn't worry about anything until you know there's something to worry about.

Big hugs!
