DH and I have been trying to conceive our first baby and are currently on round 2. I have been using OPK's since we decided to try. Last month (our first month) We didn't have sex for the two days leading up to my Smiley Face ...... But we BD the night of the positive result and the night after. Come 2 weeks later a BFN! I know that it can take a while trying before you get pregnant, but I was still pretty bummed out. Yesterday I got my smiley face and I am pretty happy because we BD the day before the Smiley Face and the day of as well. We will again tonight and tomorrow just to make sure. I read somewhere that even when you get the smiley face it may already be to late to catch the egg?? is that true? if so, is it good that I managed to BD the day before?? I also used "Preseed" this month ... In which I read good reviews about it. anyone else tried it with any success?? I should also mention that I am 20 and fit and healthy. My husband is 21 and also in perfect health. (if that matters)

My doctor recommended me not to wait till positive to have sex, he says after my period stops i should start having sex every other day that way i don't miss my egg the day i do get a positive im supposed to have sex that day and the day after. If that helps

Agreed with PP, the recommended schedule is every other day until you get a smiley, then BD 3 days consecutively if possible. Or you could just BD everyday and every other day but use the OPK as FYI, which is what we did. The OPKs plus cm/cervix position tells me if I'm open for business and then it just means I spend more time with my legs up and might actually bother with soft cup. I don't let OPKs actually tell me when to BD, I don't think it's necessary.

OP, I think I'm in the same boat as you... I'm pretty sure I'll be on my second cycle soon, and the first time around we BD on my supposed O day and the day after, but nothing else. I think next cycle we'll do it as soon as AF begins to depart. Good luck!
