Cycle length increased to 39 from 32.. First cycle TTC

Hi Ladies,

This was my first cycle TTC.
Normally i have regular cycles of 32/33 days , but this month i got cycle of 39 days which is very unusual.
Any idea what could be the reason of this late cycle.

PS : I was not on any pill or BC control method.

One more thing.
I got my last period on 25 feb and after that i was diagnosed with UTI and i took nitrofurantoin antibiotic for 7 days. i.e. from 3rd march to 10 march.

Expected ovulation date as per chart -- 15 March

Can Antibiotics delay Ovulation ?

If your body is under stress (like an infection) sometimes your body won't ovulate on time or at all causing late AF. hope this helps and that you get a BFP soon!

Hi swimmyj,

I think you pointed out right.
I was suffering from UTI in my follicular phase and took antibiotics also.
So may be because of that ovulation delayed and hence AF.

Hi Ladies,

So I find out that i ovulated late and that's why got late periods.
now I want to know that why I Ovulated late.
I was having UTI in follicular phase and had antibiotics for that.
So can that cause delayed Ovulation ?

Reason why i'm asking this is, I want to be sure this time.
I don't know whether i should consider 32 days cycle this time (Which normally i have) or 40 days cycle which i had this month because of delayed ovulation .
