Hi beautiful mom's and mum-to-bes.. I found out yest thru d scan that my baby stopped beating its heart at 9 weeks and that too very recently. I have a scheduled D & C day after. Would be really grateful if ne1 who had undergone a similar situation or D&C explain what things wud be like before and after. Hubby and I are neways planning a gap till Jan or Feb before TTc again. Am not able to do nething but sit around and cry abt d lil lifeless body inside me. :( Jus unable to bear it. :( Feel totally lost, shattered and hopeless. :( It took us 6 cycles to conceive this one.

Hi. So sorry for your loss. Pop over to the Miscarriage support section, lots of ladies over there have gone through this too. you will find answers on tge d&c procedure, rwcovery and missed miscarriage over there. As well as the support and encouragement of other moms who have experienced this. Good luck.

Jazzy, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your little one! I have had a D&C in the past but for different reasons. The recovery for me was not too bad, but I only had the brief physical pain to deal with. Like the previous poster said, please do try the miscarriage support group to talk with women who have also gone through your awful situation. I wish you luck in conceiving again!

I had the same situation in my first pregnancy. We found out at my 12 week appt that my baby's heart had stopped at approx 10 weeks, and I opted to have a D&C that day. The procedure itself was super easy, recovery wasn't too bad. It was just painful cramping for a few days, but nothing unbearable. Looking back I wish I had let my body go through the miscarriage on it's own. I lost my 2nd baby too, and I decided not to have a D&C and I'm glad. If you're trying to conceive again soon, a D&C can leave scar tissue which can cause issues in later pregnancies. It's definitely harder to miscarry on your own, but I felt like it was a more healing experience. Of course you're the only one that can make that choice. I'm so sorry for your loss and I wish you the best of luck in the future. :hugs:
