Firstly, thank you all for letting me take over this board. It's been a massive help to me. I have so many questions, sorry for that.

I'm just wondering how long I can expect my pregnancy symptoms to hang around for? I had my D&C at 14 weeks 6 days, and that was two days ago. I was starting to feel better anyways because I was getting into my 2nd trimester. But I've always had the most painful boobs in the world, right from the start. I instantly felt "better" as far as my appetite and energy levels went. Even my partner said he felt like I was my old self instantly. I felt that "pregnancy brain fog" lift the same day too. But my breasts are still soar, and I'm still bloated.

I thought all that went away right away. I'm a little worried that maybe they missed something. I just didn't expect to still "feel" physically pregnant. In fact, my appetite did come back, but even that, I'm still starving all the time, but now I can eat, things taste normal again and I'm not instantly full.

I hope I'm making sense here girls.

It all depends on your body and how it handles things. All you can rely on is generalities so no one can tell you how you will feel etc. Most often it is said that if you dont get af within 6 weeks to see a dr. Your numbers would start to drop the second the placenta comes off the uterine wall (d&c in this case)and as such most of your symptoms should start to lessen.

Please keep in mind that your body has gone through some major upheaval. Its like a factory that used to make one thing~ then started production on something else~ and is now reverting back to the first state of affairs. It can take time and all the hormones re aligining can also make you feel funny.

All in all~ it depends... you might feel right as rain straight away or you could find things lingering on a bit.

If you wanna see some progress take some cheap pg tests to check on your levels going down. If they actually did miss something you'd start to feel pretty miserable soon enough~ physically, i mean (happened to a close friend of mine). This will be one of the few times you will be happy to see a bfn :)

Sorry this happened to you Petal but as someone who's gone through 2 i can honestly say its not a bad procedure and most have a good outcome~ it was a godsend to me and i went straight back to 'normal' as soon as I could, if you know what i mean :)

6 months on i feel lalmost like it never happened..i dont feel weepy although sure, its a massive thing to have happened to me..but the d&c was great and allowed me to move on.

Please also keep in mind that you being 14 weeks might also affect things the way you feel..

All the best petal
