Hey!! Thought I would finally get round to this! Life is pretty hectic with 3 kiddies under 4
I am loving it though!!
So after the clocks going backwards, I thought I would let the hubby lay in whilst I got up with Sophie and Leo at about 7.30am
I got them up dressed and fed and then cracked on with getting the house clean and tidy I finished the housework and started getting some pains, about 10am I started timing them and they were 10mins apart lasting about 30seconds each at that point I woke the hubby to let him know, they were bearable and not too painful so we just got on with what we needed to
About 1pm had to pop to town and to my hubby's aunties to drop off her birthday card then we had to pop to my nans as Sophie was going out with them for the day.
We got home about 2pm, contractions were about 5-9 mins apart lasting about 30seconds, still very bearable so I took some paracetomol and started running a bath - got in the bath and dealing very well with my contractions, then I saw some blood so we phoned the midwife unit who advised me to come in straight away to be checked over, contractions were about 4 mins apart lasting about 50 seconds each - again still bearable so I knew I wouldnt be too far dialated.
Midwife checked me at 3pm and I was 4 cms dialated and waters were bulging, she gave me a quick sweep whilst she was there to help things along.
I thought at that point she would let me go home to carry on labouring at home but I think she must have checked my notes and realised how quick I usually labour (6 hours with Sophie..... 1 hour 20mins with Leo)
She gave me the gas and air but I did not touch it until about 4.30pm, she examined me again at 5pm and I was 8cms dialated, my waters were still bulging and she said that was the only thing holding me back so she broke them for me. Then I went from 8-10cms in 5 mins and after 5 mins pushing Daniel James Arnold was born at 5.10pm weighing only 7lbs 6ozs - my smallest!
With Sophie and Leo my waters always broke first and then my contractions started, with Daniel my contractions started and my waters had to be broke! The midwife said if she had broke my waters at 4cms she thinks he would have been here alot quicker!
So he is 4 weeks old tomorrow and just the perfect addition to our little A Team![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
