Dark, almost brown spotting, 35 weeks??? (TMI warning)

Is it normal? Had dizziness all day today and period type cramps, feeling LOADS pressure down there in cervix when walking etc over past few days. Baby is breech and im measuring 3 weeks ahead. Came home today to find very little spotting and its a dark reddy brown? Sorry for tmi but had a couple miniscule mustard seed sized bits in it?

Start of a show or a reason to call MW?

Im not entirely sure, but i know brown blood is old blood so usualy there is nothing to worry about.

My MW has told me that if you have any bleeding/waters break/contractions/less movements etc to call the maternity triage number where they can advise you whether to come in to get checked over or not to worry.

Maybe you could call them for advise?

I'd call the maternity ward triage unit just to be on the safe side.

Im 37 weeks and after having period style pains, backache and lots of pressure I found bright red blood in my undies yesterday after walking about we called our day unit and they brought us in they said it was a pre show show and gave all the checks and gave me anti - d as I'm rhesus negative they said it wasn't anything to worry about but if you have a bleed for any reason let someone know so call someone it never hurts to be sure!

I appreciate that. Im always reluctant to phone them incase theyre rolling their eyes thinking heres another paranoid preggo! I think i may just do that ..... X

I'm the same at first I didn't want to bother them but thought I should just to make sure baby was ok and they were really nice about it!

call them they usually say brown blood is old blood butit never hurts to call they what they get paid for

I had this last week, called l&d and was told to go in for monitoring, if I was you I would call! X
