Whats going to happen now Cameron is in power? Apart from the fox ban being lifted :(

if you go on the bbc new website, and look at the election 2010 bit and then find partys and policys or something along those lines you can see there position on everything, i think tax credits is going to be stopped for familys earning 50k or over xx

I've heard so many mixed responses to this. Some people say it'll affect lower income families and others say it'll only affect the higher earners... Can't seem to find a definite answer.

I'm worried about it too :(

There are quite a few threads about this on the forum already but think it only effects and again only a possable famlies earning over 50k a year.

The Conservative government will:

# Reform the administration of tax credits to reduce fraud and overpayments, which hit the poorest families hardest;

# End the "couple penalty" for all couples in the tax credit system

https://www.conservatives.com/Policy/Where_we_stand/Family.aspx

# End the "couple penalty" for all couples in the tax credit system

what does this mean?

If you are a single parent with say an income of £20,000 you get quite a bit of money coming in because they pay extra for lone parent etc. but if you are a couple earning the same you don't get as much. Cameron wants to make the system fair for everyone, or that's the way that I understand it.
