Doc wants me to have this done this cycle, problem is that CD21 falls on a Sunday so should I book it for the Friday which is CD19 or Monday CD22? My cycles are about 28 days (one short cycle 25 days, one long cycle 31 days over the past 13 cycles, most are 26-29).

I used a CB monitor a few times last year and it gave me peaks on CD13 and CD15 if that helps?

Sorry if this is rambley, just want to get it right.

Thanks

Hi Misslissa

I has the same problem a few months back as mine fell on a bank holiday.

The options I had were to either wait til the next cycle or to have someone I knew take the blood for me (a nurse or doctor of course!) I was lucky that a neighbour was a nurse so she took the blood for me and I took it to the lab at the hospital myself. If that's not an option I would go for the day 22 option as your progesterone will be artificially too high on day 19.

Keep an eye on your cycle and if poss keep a track of your temperature. Opks will show you the LH peak but a temp rise shows the actual point of ovulation. Track your 7 days from the temp rise not te lh peak.

Hope that helps

Xxx

I don't do any temping and actually this cycle I am away on hols while in my likely fertile time so wasn't intending in doing opk's even. Think I'll just have to go for the day 22 option and hope thats ok.
Thanks got the advice, unfortunately I don't know any nurses that could help. Oh well there is always the next cycle if that's no good.

My doc said I could get the test cd 21-25. Then he even said don't bother with cd21. You should be fine getting tested on CD22.

I just had this test done this cycle too.. My doc said anytime between CD21-24 is fine....

I had this test a few weeks ago and was told to go the day after as mine fell on a Sunday :-) hope that helps.
