Hey ladies, I just heard back from my doc and she said my day 21 progesterone level was 4.6, she said that I did ovulate with that number. I also took clomid 50mg days 3-7 this month. I thought my numbers would have been higher. Do any of you ladies have thoughts on this? Is there still a chance for pregnancy with these numbers?

Hi hun i had my bloods taken and mine was 4 and i was told i hadnt ovulated
But i wasnt on Clomid or anything! I thought that people on Clomid their Progesterone was supposed to be higher??! But then i have only read this on Dr Google :haha:

Good luck

xx

Last cycle I took 150mg clomid on cd3-7. My cd 21 bloodwork was 4.something. But I knew I had a positive opk on cd18 and made them redo my bloodwork on cd24 and it was 9.something!! I did ovulate it was just later than normal! I had to argue with the nurse and doc because they kept saying it wouldn't make a difference but obviously it did. So don't lose hope.

I was told anything under 5 meant I didn't ovulate.

Oooh so maybe i did Ovulate if my Progesterone was 4?? :happydance:

xx

If your bloodwork wasn't done at the correct time it's possible. My doctor insisted it didn't matter my bloodwork was done so soon after ovulation. But I proved them wrong. It felt good. :)

Good luck!!

4 is low. You should go for your DAY21 test 7 days after you confirm ovulation, whether that be with temping or opk's. Don't think you have to stick to the CD21 rule, you'll do yourself a favour listening to your own body.

Thanks ladies. I got a positive opk on September 10th which would have been cycle day 13 for me, so maybe the day 21 test was just done to late. I am trying not to lose hope and I'm praying that I will get a bfp this month.

I think that you still have a chance this month, but if you do get your BFP, get your progesterone checked again. I think that a level of 4 something would be very low to sustain a pregnancy. I had mine checked at 19dpo during my last pregnancy and it was only 6.8, so I went on progesterone supplements. Unfortunately I still miscarried (due to a blighted ovum), but I am hoping to get my progesterone checked sooner if I get my BFP this month!

I am currently taking Prometrium 200mg days 16-26. Thats another reason I was shocked it was so low. In my last pregnancy I took the prometrium through the first 10 weeks, the doc will have me do the same when I get pregnant again.
