Day 48, no period

Hi everyone! Just starting TTC and have a few questions. I have been on birth control for 21 years! Only came off it a few times for very short periods because my cramps were so terrible, I couldn't function and needed something to help with that. I took the Nuvaring out for good on December 20. Had my normal period December 22-25. Nothing since then. I've been trying to track basal temperature and CM but I'm not sure if it's meaning anything at this point because I haven't gotten my period yet. Last Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1, I had what I believe was the egg white cervical mucus. So we had sex just in case! Now it's been 6 days and yesterday afternoon and today, I've had light dark brown discharge. Does this mean anything? I think the chances of me ovulating without having a period and being on birth control for so long are slim. I'm also older (35) and want to make sure I don't miss any chances to conceive! I go to my doctor next week for my annual physical, but any ideas/thoughts are welcome!

I don't really have a temp chart, I've just been plugging it into an app on my phone. I haven't gotten too serious about it yet because I thought it would take forever to get my period, etc.!

So like I said, I had the light brown spotting a little on Friday and all day Saturday. Woke up Sunday to what looked like period blood. I put in a tampon and after all day, it was almost dry. This morning I woke up with no period, no discharge. So what I thought was my period really only lasted 1 day. Or was the brown discharge the start of the period? I've never come off birth control long enough to notice if the periods are weird starting out after.

Periods can definitely be weird after coming off birth control so it's possible your body is readjusting. My first cycle after stopping BC was over 40 days and although that period was longer I have had many 1 and 2 day periods since then which were very light. Hopefully yours is implantation bleeding though! Take a pg test or at least ask for one at your physical.
