+++ December 2019 testing thread +++

If I was pregnant and wasn’t having a chemical the line would be there clear as day today at 9DPO):
It's still early , af was due for me today and , yesterday could nearly see the line , was only today I could say it was definitely positive
There's still a chance!

Skyye, didn’t you have a first positive about a week ago? Or is my timeline off? I would think based on your recent posts since then, you are probably further along than 9dpo. Which means you most likely are having a chemical, which really truly sucks and I’m sorry. But maybe you’d be able to figure out exactly what’s going on with your cycles by using an app like Kindara, or Fertility Friend, or Easy@Home (ovulation). The better informed you are, the more helpful you’ll be to any doctors should you decide to get checked out. Plus you’ll have learned a thing or two about TTC which is always helpful.

Just so you know, even if conception occurs at ovulation, your little eggy has to travel down the Fallopian tube and implant in your uterus before you start producing hcg. That travel time takes anywhere from 5-12 days. Then, it takes 3-4 days from implantation for hcg to build up enough in your urine for a test to detect it. Blood tests can detect hcg 2-3 days after implantation. When I had an actual embryo placed directly in my uterus I would have theoretically been about 5dpo. This was a 5 day old embryo (the best age for them to implant and that’s 5 days after fertilization). It then took another 5 days for any tests (super sensitive tests) to pick up a real first, super super faint positive. So that’s 10dpo at the earliest. And that’s with doctors putting an embryo directly in my uterus, bypassing the travel through the Fallopian tube. It doesn’t seem like it should take that much time, but it does, hence the 2 week wait.

You can learn a lot about TTC on this forum and we’re all here rooting for you, but guessing about what may or may not be happening or where you are in your cycle, is only going to drive you nuts. And as always, if you’re truly concerned, call a doctor.

Congratulations for those festive bfp's!
Anyone else due around 21st? My cycles have been chaotic since TTC but I *think* I ovulated last Saturday in line with my app. Sadly only got to dtd on Thursday due to going away. Gunna feel gutted when AF turns up :,(

Congrats everyone! I haven’t been tracking with opks and don’t think I’ve hit all the right days but just been taking it easy after my loss. I’ll temp to see if it rises tomorrow xx

Ok girls so I promised myself I wouldn't test early but I caved I don't know exactly what dpo I am I think 8or 9dpo but lastnight I took the kiddos to a Christmas fair I had some greasy food and immediately after I felt really nauseous and sick to the stomach so I brushed it off but this morning I noticed really sore boobs and I'm horribly hungry when waking and that's not my norm. I took a 88cent and swore I saw a line so broke out a frer, ugh and guess what I see lines on both but I hate it because frer has such a bad rep now! If this is going to be it of course I'm now sick with worry about another ectopic, my left tube that the doctor kept had alot of scarring he removed most je could but I'm soooo scared as I write this I'm having left sided pain:-( it's so unfortunate that when you have a history of mc or ep you automatically think the worse...

I ovulated the 1st of December. I got a positive test three days ago not a week ago. I’m 9DPO. I’m not further along then that. But thanks for the input. ):

I've never heard of any tests being positive, especially as positive as yours was at 6dpo. It's just not realistic that early on. Did you let the test dry and take the picture after 10 minutes? Sometimes lines can form on tests after the time limit making it look very positive when in fact it's just what's called an evap. Either way, I'm sorry you're going through this.

:hugs: Bump288

I'm pretty sure these are postive.
Going by my OPKs and premom I am 8dpo. Fertility Friend and ovia say 9dpo. 3hr hold, taken at 6pm.

I yelled and DH came into the bathroom so that ruined the surprise, it's his birthday on the 23rd so I was wanting to wait if this month was postive, but I was so shocked I yelled. I then took two more tests. Just goes to show God is bigger than a medical condition!

Sorry for stalking this forum! Congrats skyye! My afternoon urine always have me darker lines, also, I didn't get a dark line until at least 12dpo. So you're right on track! Don't worry! Let it happen! :)

I just can't I'm at work and I can't focus on anyone or anything...I'm praying for the best right now because all of my pregnancy symptoms are happening tonight at work I'm holding my urine so I can test when I get home, I wanted to wait until tomorrow morning but my fmu is horrible so hopefully it will be good news tonight for me:coffee:
