+++ December 2019 testing thread +++

Congrats to those with bfps!! Big hugs to those that it didn't happen for this cycle! And to those still waiting, got my fingers crossed!!
AFM Ive been good this month and have held out on testing! Af due tomorrow but I just have a feeling that I might be pregnant this month!! I already have 3 children , my daughter will be 13 in Jan - she was a suprise with my ex, then it took 6 years to conceive my now 5yr old and 3yrs to conceive my 1year old due to hubby's low count and motility, Have been ntnp since 1yr old was born and started actively trying for the last two months , so really the odds arnt in our favour, but hoping for a little Xmas miracle! X

USA and Salamander, I see the lines! I am 9dpo today and of course tested early and there was a faint pink line like yours! I will post a pic when there is better daylight here.

I am pretty excited but trying to control it after my last turned to be a chemical. This time I have so many symptoms that are continuing that I hope it sticks. Fingers crossed!

Navyvag, sorry if it's too personal but did you actually manage to get pregnant natrally? I am just curious because my husband has low count(500k) and low motility and mobility too. So we were given very slim chances of ever conceiving naturally. We have one child through IVF.

Teafor2 i def agree with fostermum, don't delay getting checked up. I doubt they will really intervene before you have been trying for 1 year but like she said you can book the appointment now otherwise you will be waiting even longer. It also depends on your age, if you are over 35 they don't recommend waiting longer than 6months.

I did two tests today but they were both BFN. I still have the blood test on Wednesday, but I don't think this embryo has made it. We are already thinking about our next steps, wether we do IVF again or pursue adoption. I am just happy we were able to give this embryo a chance. I think because we have had the embryo frozen for 3 years it has been on my mind a lot, and I have been thinking of it as a baby so it is a little bit harder to let go.

Not too personal at all !
We went to fertility clinic for all the tests , i was completely fine, but hubby's were that bad that they said to us ivf probably wouldn't work and we would have to try isci! So we proceeded with the treatment plan, I was going to donate some of my eggs as they predicted I would have plenty, was due to go for the appointment for meds , but 10 days before I found out I was pregnant!
Was a huge but amazing suprise and had a totally healthy pregnancy!
So it is totally possible, like they say, it only takes 1 healthy sperm out of the millions that may not be very good!
I did put my husband on various vitamins etc and used pre seed , no idea of it helped or not ! X

Thanks for the advice @co_fostermom and @Lunabelle. Luckily the country I live in has national healthcare and that includes maternity care and fertility treatments. I need to make an appointment anyway as I’ve also come down with a horrible case of thrush.

I also need to change my gynaecologist. The one I have has been very dismissive in the past and won’t even look at my past medical history.

Maybe it’s also the period hormones but I’m just feeling super down and weepy today about all of this.

And Lunabelle... I’m sorry to hear that the embryo seems to not have made it. Wishing all the best for you guys moving forward. :hugs:

Well I caved and took the digital this morning and it said bfn. I know they’re more sensitive so I decided to open it and look at the strip... there’s a line there...

Congrats to all those with the BFPs! So exciting to see them.

Sorry to all those whose AF has shown.

2nd cycle for us and still not sure what my body is doing. I'm CD13 and not entirely sure if I've ovulated or not. I've been tracking my BBT and there is no clear dip and spike to see ovulation... but I had EWCM Thurs and Friday last week and now its creamy. My cycles have been short the last couple months of only around 24-26 days. So I think I already ovulated but not entirely sure. I am using an old thermometer and perhaps it isn't giving me correct readings. We've been DTD lots to make sure we cover ovulation but not feeling very sure on how this cycle is going so far. I guess only time will tell.

Well stupid me took another and I don’t see anything :-( Who knows

I see it MrsP and Navy!!!

USA I wouldn't trust blue dye tests. Your pink dyes yesterday were looking great. Also, never take the strip out of the casing; it renders the test invalid immediately. Something about the air hitting the strip too fast, I think. Causes there to be a line sometimes where there shouldn't be.

AFM 8/9DPO - I think I'm 8dpo but all my apps say I'm 9DPO. Anyway, took tests and I think they're a bit ambiguous at this point. Maybe the start to something but maybe just evaps. The wondfo did dry a bit darker which is the pic I uploaded, but it was there while the test was wet. Not getting excited yet though.

Ladies - bit of a TMI question here...

With DTD more than usual here because I'm around ovulation... I've noticed a bit of an odour down there. I think it has to do with the sperm inside. It doesn't hurt and there is no itching or burning, just a slight smell and I notice this the day following DTD. Could this be a bacteria thing or is it normal? I know after we conceived my daughter my doctor noticed I had a bit of a yeast buildup so I had some medicine to take, perhaps the sperm is affecting my PH balance? :shy: Sorry I know this is a gross question but I figured this was the place to ask it! lol
