Hi all,

For ages we wanted to name baby Reuben. Noah was a strong contender, but dont think it goes aswell with last name.

But I have always loved the name Zeke.

My brother said it would get called Zeke the geek, which of course I dont want, but people will always find a way to pick on a name/person because of their name.

Would this put you off the name Zeke?

Zeke is awesome and very unusual in the UK as you prob know !
Yeah he might get Zeke the geek but then, every name he'll get something
If you call him Noah, he'll get comments about his Ark for example hehe - kids always find away!
I think it's an awesome name!

Thank you hun. I think it is an awesome name too. When I was talking to my mum a while back, I was suprised when she said she liked the name, as I thought it would be a bit too out there for her. She didnt like Reuben on the other hand. (although I know the decision has got anything to do with her)


Yeah there was that with Noah. Again my brother said if he went to school with a Noah, he would tease him and say

'how did you get to school today... on your ark' (My brother sounds like a right bully, lol)

To be fair, Noah is my front runner at the moment for my own hehe - I just love it!

I know a lot of people on here say it doesn't matter what your mum/family think but I care if my mum really doesn't like something so it's become part of my consideration too

Well I just spoke to OH and he said he hates the name Im so gutted. I love it. I dunno what I can do to persuade him. he keeps going on about zeke the geek, and that there are other reasons, but he doesnt know them. Haha.

Im sure i will get my own way. lol.

I do think its nice if you can have the 'approval' from family members. My mum, dad and nan all hate the name Reuben, and I dont think Noah would go down much better. lol.

OH likes Logan, Its just I prefer more unsual names and i dont know anyone named zeke.

Awww no fair!!! Logan isn't that usual is it? I certainly no nobody with that name but it also isn't as nice as the other names you like!
Keep fighting for Zeke if you love it - you might win!
My partner said no to my favourite girl's name and no others live upto it in my mind! But then, I'd feel bad using it if he really doesn't like it!
It's too hard!!

Zeke's unusual, I think i prefer Reuben though, but that's just because it was on my list. My dh is a nightmare He was set on Logan but it's in the top 5 in scotland so out for me. He hated Reuben and vetoed lots that I loved. If he hadn't loved Luca I think I might have run off and named this baby myself

Im gonna keep at him. it took him a while to agree on Reuben, so I am sure I am atleast a small chance with Zeke.

Logan is quite a popular name I think, I know it was in the top 20 on this website I looked at. lol

I also love Logan! How about Landon? That is similar to Logan but not nearly as popular??

Logan and Noah , great names, i do like Reuben too. Not sure about Zeke, but thats just my opinion. Go with what you love . xx

I think the name Noah is lovely, my OH said no to it straight away as we already have Jacob and he says we can't have another religious name (we're not religious).
