hi ladies..... my story is very long....sorry in advance

last february i had my first known pregnancy which sadly ended in miscarriage in april..... it was my first month on clomid (50mg)...and we were successful.

since then however, my doctor continued to give me clomid for another 7 months (no monotoring however)..anyhoot...ended up with some cysts, which ruptured until a huge one was discoverd in december of 2014...also i had a fibroid attached behind the right ovary in the pouch of douglas...so anyhoot...i was sent to a surgen and had a laparotomy done... lo and behold when they went in the fiboid and cyst were removed ..but surprise i also had some endometroisis..(whoa..i kno it's alot).....the surgery was in february 2015....womb was retroverted but after laparotomy it became antiverted....the fibroid had it twisted

i was referred to the ivf clinic since i am 39...over there i was further told that my amh levels were quite low (0.7) which means that my ovarian reserves are low (i only have a few eggs left)
of course this left me devestated......i have my first rould of ivf scheduled for june

however, between now and the ivf cycle, i was put on DHEA.....now here comes the strangest part of all of this.....since a teenager..i have always had very very very bad pms with extremely sore boobs being the first indicator...which starts immediately after ovulaiton and stops only when i get my period....the only time i didnt have sore boobs was when i was pregnant... however, this month i started the DHEA and 'wait for it' no usual pms symptoms... so i called the ivf clinic and asked if the DHEA could affect PMS... the said no

soooo.. now im confused...is it the DHEA or am i pregnant......?????

i would appreciate anyone sharing a similar story and telling me how it worked out

thanks ladies...i feel quite impatient...my period is due on May 26, and 8 days seems like a lifetime when having to deal with this......

Dhea is to enhance egg quality. I have had low ovarian reserve since im 39..I have no idea if ur pregnant but I do NOW know ur cycles can go wonky even if ur cycles have been one way FOREVER...lol I oed on tje fourth day of my period this month...like total shocker....so stranger things have happened making cycles different...gl hun

since my last post i had my first iui done.....what a nightmare this month was.... first of all the doctors gave up on me this cycle... my E2 levels came back too high they said......they said they wanted it less than one hundred.... it came it at 97 and they said that there was absolutely no possibility of a follicle much less an egg... but i did my E2 at an independent lab and it came back at 57.... since i had already bought my gonal-f shots my Dh and i decided to take it anyway... my RE was mst dismissive and did not support as she was sure it would be a waste...... however we didnt get a follicle.....instead we got 4.....but only 2 were mature.. at 14 mm and 28mm on cd12.....and my E2 which had gone down to 89 afew days before went up to 262......if it sounds confusing ...i understand..... nevertheless...took my hcg shot....had my iui.....it is not 9dpiui......
between 4dpiui and 7dpiui i had lots and lots of cramping...was so bad i had to leave work.....then at 8dpiui it went away...further i am on progesterone vaginal inserts and am very very bloated and bbs are huge and sore.... other than that i feel perfectly fine
i know there is no guarantee.... just wanted to share that even if this cycle doesnt result in a pregnancy...just wanted u guys to know that doctors dont know it all...
they said absolutely no follicles...had four and 2 mature

I am 9DPIUI also. I injected with follistim. Two mature follicles is great, I hope this works for you! I had two follicles, not sure if the smaller one matured enough from the last ultrasound to the IUI. Did the Dr apologize for being so dismissive? Glad you trusted your gut!

GL &:dust:

My AMH is .3 at 40 and I'm having no luck at all. So far I've tried Clomid and follistim with IUI. I had two good mature follies after the follistim, but we found when we went in for the IUI that DHs sperm count may be low. So, that's complicating things, too. I don't know what to do at this point. I have a consult with RE one week from Monday (after DH's SA reanaylsis). I hope you have better luck than I do, though. Lots of :dust: your way!

I haven't taken an AMH test yet... I'm going to on my next visit. My insurance doesn't cover it but I already inquired about the cost with my doctor's office... and it wasn't bad price wise. My insurance will cover visit. It will cover materials used to draw the blood for the few different tests but it won't cover the processing of the test itself.

So I'll know my numbers after my next visit. I'm super nervous about the outcome but it's good to know and understand your options... but still... kinda nerve-wracking
