James's deed poll has arrived in the post. So he is finally officially in my name and my name only! I'm so happy that I made a cake and we had a little celebration on Mothers Day hehe.

Malarkey - I got him to sign the paperwork when I had to meet him to pay off the money he owed to our joint bank account and close it. He has decided he doesn't want anything more to do with James.

How did you get ex to agree to this?

basically we had a joint account and he was meant to have closed it but ran up over £310 on it instead. Shouldnt have been able to cos there was no overdraft on it but there we go. So he said he couldnt afford to pay it off and so it would have gone to court. So I made him an offer that I would pay the money if he signed the deed poll paperwork and closed the account. He agreed to it and decided he didnt want anything more to do with James.
