Delayed OV

Hi Ladies

I was wandering whether anyone could please shed some light for me.

Can Ov be delayed because you are unwell. I am currently on CD44 and on Sat (CD42) for some reason thought I would test on an OPK (probably cause I was fed up seeing on HPT.

Anyway OPK came up positive and I now think cos I had the flu a couple of weeks ago maybe OV got delated, is this possible ?

illness and stress can both delay ovulation.
Also if you have recently come off the pill it can mess with your ovulation cycle.

Thanks littlestar, was hoping after 5 months off BCP my body might have started regulating but this month may be just down to having the flu.

Yep it definitely can - i have had delayed ovulation (and then ) after i've been ill and also when i've been anxious - despite normally have a regular cycle.

Fingers crossed that will show up for you this month! x
