I don't think they can just for that... the only way they would is for a major criminal case if required for court.

I doubt txts etc mean much in court anyway so I wouldn't worry.. Just keep a diary of everything. x

I dont think their is any way of retrieving them But its always worth asking!

The poster above is right though, texts really dont mean anything in court, nor does things like keeping diaries ect i no a few people who did, and the judge just saw it all as 'tit for tat'

The only times i no of reasons being used such as threatening behaviour being listened too, is where there was police envolvement, and their records were checked.

Same posistion. I went to take a photo of them and my BB decided to delete all my texts... grrr!!! But if he does bother to bestow a text upon me I shall be photographing it for just in case and also noting it down in a diary. But keep all emails etc etc and any other form of contact he/you have tried to have. It would be a good basis for your solicitor but as someone above said I don't think the judge will mind that much. My cousin did the same thing for her FOB and...well... the waste of space still got access every other week [he is an alcoholic!!!] so yeh... be prepared

Wow really? That's ridicoulous! it seems to me that courts don't have the best interests of the child at all, they've just become obsessed with equal rights and will implement them regardless of the possible effects to the child.

I think this is true. It has become too much about appeasing the FOB regardless of how much of a father they have been which I think is stupid. Taking the same kind of ethos into other situations; eg: if I were rubbish at interview I wouldn't expect to get the job or if I had damaged something after I had bought it I wouldn't expect the store to take it back. I know its completely different scenarios but the same principles apply; if the 'father' was rubbish during pregnancy and to start out with it shouldn't mean they can have a hissy fit and expect to get what they want. It is stupid.

Edit: Also thinking on it, if FOB wants equal rights it should be equal from conception. As in they should take up the responsibility the very second they cum [sorry for being crass] as we have to take up the responsibility immediately.

its so depressing, it doesnt matter what he does.. he'll still get the acsess he wants, i just have to sit back and watch... when i want to protect my son, i think i'm going to be taken to court by him, ive had alot of advise and have been told.. at all costs to avoid court!! as he WILL win.

makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach, surely as mothers we have the right to choose what we feel is appropriate and beneficial for the children which he carried, gave birth too, and have brought up by ourselves...

i pretty much want my ex to curl up and die to be honest

Basically though, I want to be as prepared as I can so I can show my solicitor how threatening he's being.

I try to save all text messages sent and received between me and FOB, however my phone has a tendency to freeze then delete them.

Does anyone know of any way that I can retrieve all the texts sent and received from my phone? It's a contract phone and sim and I've had it a year.

Can I ask Carphone Warehouse to retrieve them all for me if I pay?

I really need them and I'm stuck :/

If your phone is a contract phone the only thing you as a user can see is the date times and number the messages were sent to and from on the web page of the company after you log in and go through the online billing section to view your bills... The best thing is get your solisitor or a lawyer to get a paper from the judge forcing the company to give the details of all messages.. Good luck and hope it works out

I am sure he will send you some more texts before you go to court, you can always send him a text just to wind him up? so you got some proof
