Depressed :(

DH and I are driving around he says "I have a question". Me: ok. DH:Are we too old to have kids? We're gonna be 32 and we'll be 60 by the time they're grown. It seems like a lot of people have kids at a younger age. Me: No we're not too old to have kids. You make me depressed like you wanna stop trying for one. DH: No. I just don't wanna be too old to have kids. Me: Remember the nurse practioner I worked for? Well she was pregnant with her first child at 32 if that makes you feel better.....End convo......We just now decided to start trying for our first. He'll be 32 in March and I'll be 32 in July. I'm so depressed. I wanna know how many of you ladies had your first child at or after 32 and what supprt/advice can you give me? I'm looking for positive thoughts.

I'm sorry you're down. I'm 37 and trying for my first! I know many people who didn't start trying to have kids until your age. My cousin had her set of twins at 34 and then had another baby girl at 39. People are having children much later these days! Tell your DH that your age doesn't dictate how much you love and enjoy your children! Chin up, girl! You can do it!

If your DH thinks 32 is old, I'd shudder to think what he'd think of me and my DH LTTTC #1: I'm 36 and he's 38 (been TTC for a little over 2 years) Just been through IVF #2 and had my embie transfer today so if it works, I'll be 37 when I give birth.

I think most are starting to have babies at that age so no, it's not too old My mother was 42 and my father was 53 when they had me and I always say my mother was a bit borderline (in my opinion) and my father was too old.

pff youre young still! Most people have their children late 20s or early 30s. everyone i know had kids after 35 only.

i had my son at 38 and daughter at 41. was the perfect age for me. i wouldnt mind a third but ill be 44 next month soooo we are realistic in our expectations and we have two lovely children.

your fertility *begins* to decline *a bit* around 35 but its still very good until 40+. the two dips are at 38 and 42.

it took 7 months with my son when i was 38. i was waiting for af to arrive to start fertility tests... well it never came! was already pregnant. At 41 we had ivf for the simple reason thats its free here. i had 22 (!!!) eggs! the average is 3 or 4. they said i responded to ivf like a 20 yesr old *chuckle* so you never know. it wotked first try my husband is 10 years younger too

My husband just turned 32 and I'm 31 (will be 32 in August) and we are trying for our first. We just weren't ready until now.
