Development at 16 weeks?

I had a bleed at 16 weeks (turned out to be nothing - phew!) so I got a scan and an extra chance to see the baby. While it was doing its somersaults I thought I saw a gender clue on a bum shot but the doc said it was just the cord.

So my question is, at 16 weeks would I have been able to clearly see boy bits? I think it's a girl and the cord theory makes sense but I was so excited when I thought I saw it.....

yep you would see boy parts trust me lol i had gender scan at 16 weeks and baby is all girl my little boy at 16 weeks you could clearly see his balls lol

My son was clearly boy at 13w2d. The cord is seemingly transparent, at least it has been for us.
